Vehicle Search

In some circumstances if a law enforcement officers have a reason to suspect the presence of drugs in a vehicle (probable cause), they have a right to conduct a vehicle search without obtaining a search warrant. Investigation of a DUI suspect for being under the influence of marijuana often stems or leads to the search of a vehicle whether based on probable cause or an inventory search.
